Malcolm Angel, on behalf of the Tivoli Theatre, was presented with a cheque for £300 by Wimborne Drama Club at a summer garden party held recently in the grounds of Deans Court, the home of Sir Michael Hanham, President of the Club, and Lady Hanham.
The money, gratefully accepted by Mr Angel, came from the proceeds of Wimborne Drama Club’s Summer Show held at the Allendale Centre on 16th July. The club has also made a donation of £50 to PramaCare.
The next production will be Falling Off A Log, a comedy by Georgina Reid, to be performed at the Allendale on 11th-13th November.
The Club is also pleased to announce that it is reviving its Christmas Show. At various venues in and around Wimborne between 11th and 15th December (to be confirmed), there will be matinee and evening performances of the musical fantasy for childen and adults The Owl and The Pussycat Went to See, based on the verses and stories of Edward Lear.
