Members of Wimborne Drama Club celebrated their 60th anniversay with a dinner – and special birthday cake at the Dormers Hotel.

Wimborne Drama Club celebrate their 60th year with productions and social events and a plea for new members to join the happy society.

He founded the Wimborne Dramatic Society, trained actors, actresses and producers and was responsible for many fine productions.

Reporting to the annual meeting of Wimborne Drama Club, on Thursday the Chairman, Mr. T. Henbest, reviewed activities during the past year, which had included productions of ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ and ‘The Shop at Sly Corner.’

In November 1928 a group of enthusiasts decided to form Wimborne Dramatic Society; this month t celebrates its 40th birthday.

Members and friends attended the Kings Head Hotel on Friday for the first joint buffet dance of the Wimborne Drama Club and Broadstone Players.
